Calvin Sung is a District Representative for Senator Tony Mendoza, representing the 32nd Senate District. As a District Representative, he acts as a liaison for the communities of Cerritos, Buena Park, La Habra Heights and Hacienda Heights. He is also responsible for several issues, including healthcare, transportation, redevelopment, banking, finance, and economic growth.
Calvin has work in both the public and private sectors, ranging from accounting to congressional campaigns. He also serves in various organizations, including the Board of Directors for OCA - Asian Pacific American Advocates: Orange County Chapter and Director of Communications for Asian Pacific American Legislative Staff Network.
Calvin earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Irvine. During his time at UCI, he headed the University of California- Council on Student Fees (CSF) which represented 225,000 students across the 10 UC campuses on budgetary decisions and issues. He also was involved in ASUCI and the chair of the Student Fee Advisory Committee (SFAC) to the Executive Vice Chancellor.
