Edmund Har is a seasoned veteran in finance and accounting. He is CFO for Oomba, Inc., a SaaS that revolutionizes how people organize sports and games with its cloud-based tournament and league management system for eSports and other forms of competition.
Oomba has entered into a Purchase Agreement with GameWorks Entertainment, a premier location based entertainment and gaming venue. It currently operates nine locations in large metropolitan areas across the United States. After its completed merge, Oomba GameWorks plans to continue its recent expansion into eSports, which began with the addition of eSports arenas in the Seattle, Las Vegas, and Denver locations, by upgrading its remaining locations. This plan is part of a larger strategy to aggressively grow the total number of GameWorks locations and invite professional eSports teams to become the exclusive home teams of each store, thereby making Oomba GameWorks the first and largest chain of eSports stadiums across the United States. Oomba is also a proud sponsor of the eSports Arena at UC Irvine.
Prior to his role with Oomba, Har was Co-Controller for W Hotel – San Diego, and Senior Finance Director for Paradigm Investment Group, a franchisee of Hardee’s primarily in the South East markets of Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Florida, and Illinois. During his tenure with Paradigm, he was able to participate and serve with the US Department of Energy, Restaurant Sub-Committee (non-legislative) to help provide information and research the high demands of retail boxes and the effects of supply and demand of energy providers.
He has received his Bachelors of Science in economics (with emphasis in Accounting) from UC Santa Barbara and holds a Master of Business Administration from UC Irvine. He has also served as a member of CONNECT San Diego, as an Entrepreneur in Residence. He met his wife at UC Irvine, where they have a son, and reside in San Diego.
