Nithin Jilla '13 wins Microsoft Challenge for STEM

Nithin Jilla, alumnus and UCIAA Young Alumni Council member, has been named Microsoft YouthSpark Challenge for Change winner. He is one of only two from the United States.

His program, AppJam+,
is a STEM education program that creates a link between college students and underserved low income middle school students through the creation of mobile apps. In 2014, AppJam+ served close to 100 students and has an active partnership with UC Irvine.
