Endowed Scholarship
award (Incoming freshmen and transfer
students)
This invitation-only award
identifies incoming students to
UC Irvine who demonstrate academic
excellence,
community service and leadership potential.
Awards: $10,000 for freshmen, paid over
four year $5,000
for transfers, paid over two years
Application Process: Admitted students
who have submitted a Statement of Intent to
Register and meet the criteria for
qualifications will be invited to apply for
the UCIAA Scholarship. The invitation will
be sent to students electronically. Students will have
at least two weeks from
that date to complete and submit their
application for consideration.
Qualified freshmen will be
alerted no later than May 30. Qualified
transfer students will be notified no later
than June 15.
Selection Process: Alumni serve on the
UCI Alumni Association’s scholarship
selection committee, review applications and
essays, convene to determine final
candidates and notify recipients.
Eligibility requirements: Freshman –
Requires a minimum GPA of 3.65 and a
combined total SAT Test score of 1950 or an
ACT Assessment plus Writing score of 29.
Transfer – Requires a minimum GPA of 3.2
and the equivalent of 90 transferable
quarter units.
Annual renewal is dependant upon
review of academic performance.Applicants need not be affiliated with any
UCI Irvine alumnus to apply.
